HOPEww Africa: From Surviving To Thriving

Wednesday, 08 April 2015 16:16

HOPEww DiepslootDiepsloot is one the poorest settlements in South Africa with a population of 138,000 living in an area of approximately 7.5 square miles. Many families live in small 7′ x 10′ shanties constructed of scrap metal, plastic, wood or cardboard. The community is plagued with violence, substance abuse, unemployment and inadequate educational opportunities. These conditions threaten the development of South Africa’s most precious resource – the children.

Equipped with a mission to bring hope and change the future for these precious little ones, HOPE worldwide Africa is establishing long-term solutions in Diepsloot that are empowering children and families to not just survive today… but thrive tomorrow.
