Via email on May 30, 2014:I am asking people to pray believing that my healing is already complete by faith and that it's only a matter of going through God's process. I've only had treatment once in the last eight weeks and as of last Friday, the tumors are still shrinking. I'm being moved to Chicago to continue the protocol at the University of Chicago medical center so we can be close to our children. We will be there on June 5.
CaringBridge.org on April 23, 2014: "Lord, if you are willing, make me clean!"
These, the words of the man with leprosy when he approached Jesus as he came down the mountain after the Sermon on the Mount. And today, they are my words as I face a somewhat similar challenge at this juncture of my life and I believe my Lord is as caring, as compassionate and definitely as powerful today as he was then when he uttered those words in response to the man's plea: "I am willing...be clean."
Indeed, God has been proving in his own way and his own time that he is willing and I, in faithfulness am still waiting in expectation. In the last four months, God has been moving through the medical staff at the Sloan Cancer Center in New York and through the chemo treatments to shrink the tumors in my body. I am grateful every day that I get to see the sun and I am trusting in our great God's faithfulness that He who begain the good work will carry it on to completion. So, I will continue to live my life as if every day was my last and at the same time have great hope that God still has "a plan to prosper me not to harm me; a plan for a great future."
We continue to covet your prayers as a family because we know all this is possible as you help us by your prayers. So, please, keep praying!
