Church at Penn State Seeks Reinforcement

Exodus 14:15-16 – “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.”

Joshua 3:15 – “Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge the water from upstream stopped flowing.”

We know that the Bible promises that God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Eph. 3:20). But when is the last time you’ve seen this in your life? When does God move and what is his expectation for us to move?

God does miracles when his people move forward. On the banks of the Red Sea, the Israelites needed to stop crying and advance. At that point, the sea split open. On the edge of the Jordan River, eager to be admitted into the Promised Land, the Israelites again needed to step forward. The Jordan River didn’t stop flowing until the priests actually got their feet wet!

God is moving in our generation. But what are we doing? Will we advance? Will you take the first step?

The Nittany Valley Church of Christ is a small church in State College, PA. The church is in need of reinforcements. The town is in need of the gospel. State College is the home of Penn State University, which is one of the top public schools in the country. It has been in the news lately for much darker issues. The idols of football and education have fallen and the town and university are in search of a new identity. The time is right for the message of Christ!

Jamison and Lauren Malcolm (Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader in Philadelphia, PA) will be moving to State College in July of 2013 to lead the church. They are seeking disciples from all walks of life to be a part of this great faith adventure.

Consider applying for school at Penn State University, apply for jobs in the area or simply keep the team in your prayers.

Check out the website for more information and feel free to contact Jamison directly.
