My name is Olga. When I was 33 years old, I decided to unite with God through baptism in the Orthodox church. I got baptized, however it didn't change the fact that I had never read the Bible nor had I thought about it. I didn't know what God was expecting from me in that moment or what Jesus' teachings were all about. Only later did I realize that I was far from the truth. Throughout this whole journey, I have always been consistent with one aspect: prayers of gratitude to God. I felt that God was helping me and supporting me through life. And last year I met some disciples who were able to tell me more about God – his grace and his love. They shared with me how important it is to live out the teachings of Jesus and apply them in my life. They also told me about Jesus' sacrifice and salvation. I saw that my purpose in life was to love God and those who are not with him. I made the most important decision of my life, to become a follower of Christ.
On March 1, 2016 I was baptized as the Bible teaches. Ever since that day, my faith has been strengthened by studying scriptures. I always thank God for leading me continuously in my walk with him, along with the brothers and sisters in the church.Shared from icocnews.ru
