Congratulations to Disciples Today on behalf of HOPE worldwide. DT has been a great partner to HOPE worldwide since its beginning ten years ago in getting out the message of our service to the poor. From publicizing the need for funding in a number of global disasters to celebrating the opening of new programs around the world to telling the personal stories of disciples who have had the special experience of helping others through HOPE worldwide, DT has been a strong communications and media outlet for our work.
Now, we have the special joy of working collaboratively as a communications team as Roger and Jonathan are helping HOPE worldwide transform its online presence into a relevant and dynamic platform of information and interaction. You are also helping us strengthen our relationships with the International Churches of Christ in our collective ministry to the poor. We are proud to be associated with DT as an organization and Roger, Marcia and Jonathan as friends in Christ. We offer our heartfelt congratulations to all of you for many years of Godly service in spreading the full gospel of Christ. -- God bless, Randy Jordan, CEO, HOPE worldwide
I have been a fortunate eyewitness of how God transformed Disciples Today from a ragtag group of volunteers publishing a simple “good news” communications portal into an accomplished enterprise of excellence with both professional and multinational connection services that touch every aspect of our 650 ministries in 150 nations. The devotion, creativity, and skills of our various teams have been effectively inspired and harnessed by DT president Roger Lamb, an elder statesman who kept up with the rapid changes in modern media. But Roger and I would both say that it is our strong base of volunteers, many of whom are not so well known, that has been the fulcrum agency that has made it possible to “inform, inspire, unify and grow” our family of churches. -- Steve Staten, DT Board Chairman, Chicago
Brothers and sisters constantly seek fellow disciples, especially when they are visiting other cities and countries. DT is my go-to site for global connection. – Douglas Jacoby, Atlanta
We all know how essential great communication is to keeping our relationships growing and thriving. DT came through for us in our fellowship of churches during a time of crisis -- God used DT to strengthen our ligaments and provide information and inspiration. DT helped us to see God was continuing to work powerfully all around the world! It has exceptionally chronicled our history and provided 1000's of disciples with contact information of our churches in our worldwide fellowship. Many, many thanks to Roger, the DT Board, and all the volunteers and staff that have made this possible! -- Bruce Williams, Los Angeles
We used Disciples Today extensively when doing our college search with our son two years ago. We started with potential schools he was interested in applying, used Disciples Today to figure out if there was a church and campus ministry in that city, and used the contact details on the website to connect with leaders. It was incredibly useful for us since we live outside of the United States. It was of the utmost importance for our son to be connected with the spiritual family wherever he ended up going. We are very grateful to have access to this great resource! -- Dan and Elexa Liu, Hong Kong
DT has been a great tool for me and the people in Central America. We are well informed about the churches worldwide , their victories and challenges. We have rejoiced with them and prayed for them. We celebrate that we have DT in our lives. Unity has been built among the churches and leaders as well. Congratulations!! -- Josue Ortega, San Salvador, El Salvador
Disciples Today not only connects us, but transports us to where we want to be or where we need to be. Whether times of celebrations or times of suffering…DT was there and inspired us to be more like Christ! -- Koko Enrile, Manila, Philippines
Happy 10th birthday to everyone at Disciples Today! Disciples Today has been a wonderful blessing to our churches, helping to inform, unify, and encourage us around the world no matter the country, language, or time zone. -- Mike Taliaferro, San Antonio, Texas
Disciples Today is an A1 web portal that not only keeps me informed and connected, but also makes me feel proud to be a disciple. -- Rolan Monje, Manila, Philippines
Congratulations to Disciples Today on making it to the 10th anniversary. What a great accomplishment. I know for me and for many I so appreciate the opportunity DT provides in keeping our fellowship connected and unified. From the articles reminding us of God's work all over the world to the videos to even the Church Locater, the DT website brings us together from all corners of the globe. I know that as we continue to grow and expand we must work harder to maintain the "...unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." No doubt DT will continue to function as a great tool to make that happen. I look forward to what the next 10 years will bring. -- AT Arneson, Chicago
The work that Roger Lamb and Disciples Today have done in the last 10 years has been essential in keeping us connected, unified and cooperating. In our technologically advancing world its importance and relevance will only grow! May God continue to bless this ministry! -- John Porter, Miami
Congratulations and "thank you" to all those who have worked hard and prayed long for the success of Disciples Today. Your efforts are a blessing to our worldwide fellowship and a valuable resource for our unity and connection. Happy 10th Anniversary! -- Andy Fleming, Birmingham, UK
The 10 Year Anniversary of Disciples Today -- an amazing feat and clearly a miracle of God! I can remember when the idea a web site for our movement was only a gleam in Roger Lamb's eye. The decade since then demonstrates that God put a dream in Roger's heart which appeared to us onlookers as that gleam. At that time, KNN had run its course, and Roger was rightly concerned about keeping us all connected and inspired. KNN was focused primarily on reporting good news from around the world, a noble purpose indeed. Disciples Today is that and far, far more. It gives us much good news, to be sure, but it also has kept us abreast of our movement challenges. The greatest contributions have been in keeping us connected in more ways that we can even imagine, thus giving inspiration and help. We are provided with ministry connections; geographical connections; event connections; teaching connections; romantic connection possibilities for singles; counseling connection possibilities -- and the list goes on and on.
Who could have envisioned all that Disciples Today has become, besides God himself? Knowing the movement as I do, I can only imagine one person who could have been thus used by God, and that is Roger (with the amazingly faithful Marcia at his side encouraging him). He has the vision, the gift set and the dogged determination to persevere no matter what life dishes out. Roger and Marcia in the recent loss of their son, surely one of the most heart-breaking losses possible, have handled it with grace and faith. They are forward-looking as they allow life's challenges to mold them and motivate them into God's future paths for them. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who have been in this magnificent loop with the Lambs as co-laborers in making God's dream of Disciples Today become the kingdom jewel that it has become. May he bless all who have had a part in this life-changing ministry, as it has affected thousands of disciples and future disciples, and will only increase its impact in the future! -- Gordon Ferguson, Los Angeles
