Missions Matter

Disciples on the Frontline need help. They need brothers and sisters who are willing to invest their lives in loving the lost, strengthening young disciples, and being a strong example of living like Jesus. Helping on the Frontline is not about having the Right Stuff. It is about making the right choices. The person who is willing to pray for, love, and truly care for others on the Frontline leaves a deep footprint.

The churches on the Frontline are often the most challenging and the most rewarding to serve.  Some Frontline locations are small churches in the U.S. while others are among the 51 countries where it is illegal to teach the gospel.

Disciple Adventures connects disciples of all ages--from campus to empty-nesters to seniors--with Frontline churches calling for help!

Are you the answer to someone's prayer for more workers in the mission field? You can make a difference in a needy, hurting world. Serve for a week, a month, a year or more, in one of many locations, both domestic and international.

Tri-Cities, Washington

The Spokane Christian Church is looking to spear-head a Mission Team to Tri-Cities, WA in September, 2012 God willing. We are assembling a team of disciples that are willing to go and be a part of a great adventure. Our hope is to have a team that is ready to go and make disciples of Jesus. We are hoping to have intensive training in August in Spokane to prepare the team to be sent out on Labor day Weekend in September, 2012.

As God builds this church from the ground up, we plan to raise up disciples to be able to evangelize, study the Bible with others, and fulfill various roles as God grows the team into a church. Disciple Adventures volunteers will help to establish a Campus ministry in the Tri-Cities, for a powerful start to the Church.

We're looking for disciples to come help for one year or longer and disciples who want to join a new church planting. Both men and women are welcome to volunteer, for long or short stays.

Training would come directly from the staff couple. There will be hands on training on evangelism, leadership, relationships within the body and various speaking/serving opportunities. In addition, the Spokane church is committed to the well being of the planting and plan to be involved in the training process.

We can only accept self-supporting volunteers. Housing will have to be arranged as the team comes together.

Tuscon, Arizona

The University of Arizona has over 35,000 students and currently has no ministry of true disciples reaching out to it. This is a chance to build a life-changing ministry on a world-class campus from the ground up. We're looking for disciples to come help us establish an explosive campus ministry at the University of Arizona through evangelism and Bible Study.

Our vision is that this church will grow from a 25-member team to 100 strong disciples in the first 12 months, and that in time we will have a campus of over 100 disciples.

Warsaw, Poland

Poland is a great European country with a population of 40,000,000--but with no International Church of Christ there at the moment. Planting a church in Warsaw will mean that one in ten Europeans will have a better chance to come to know God. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of this Godly task.

Volunteers would share their faith, study the Bible, baptize people and be an active part of the Warsaw church planting mission team. More people will hear the gospel, and more people will have a chance to be saved during the first year of the church. With the help of Disciple Adventures volunteers, the church in Warsaw will be started more powerfully with God acting through more disciples of Jesus with His Spirit.

We prefer to hire a qualified fulltime worker, but will accept self-supporting volunteers. We will provide a brothers' apartment and a sisters apartment.

Undisclosed Location, China

Our churches in China may be underground but the gospel can't be stopped! Come help us build a new campus ministry in the world's most populous nation. Most of our mission team is self-supporting, and teaching positions are readily available.

You'll eat with chopsticks in the university cafeteria while getting to know Chinese students, many of whom are open to learning more about Christianity. We'll teach you how to study the Bible with people who have been taught since primary school that there is no God, and you'll see God working in their hearts in ways that will build your faith!

Don't speak Chinese? No problem...many students speak English well and are happy to have opportunities to practice with a native English speaker.

What is the weather like in July?
Summer weather in Georgia is generally warm and sunny with highs around 88 F, lows around 68 F and occasional afternoon showers. Plan to bring warm weather attire and bring layers for cooler evening temperatures and indoor air conditioning.  Check weather forecasts ahead of your trip before packing (www.weather.com has a 10-day forecast that might be helpful).

Housing & Meals

Housing and meals are not included in the price of registration.

We recommend that all students stay in the dorms at UGA. We have provided a very inexpensive housing option with transportation to and from the main conference events. Also the meals (breakfasts) that are included with housing on campus provide great fellowship opportunities throughout the ICMC weekend.
