Hong Kong Church of Christ Selects New Church Leader
Over the past 10 years that Jane and I were called to lead the Hong Kong Church of Christ, we have gratefully witnessed God raising up of a number of mature evangelists and women's ministry leaders. This allowed us to embark on a new journey, starting with the formation of our Hong Kong Leadership Team.
Great News from China!
Here are several stories of good news out of our Chinese churches:
Recap of Greater China Songleader Conference 2015
What better way to have a mountaintop experience than to sing together to God in the mountains? This fall, the Taipei Churches of Christ hosted the first-of-its-kind conference in Asia, just for God’s songleaders in our churches in Greater China.
Hong Kong Church Shares Resources for Chinese Disciples Worldwide
The Hong Kong Church of Christ has been publishing a Greater China Newsletter (City on a Hill - 山城報) and a Christian life sharing magazine (Mindmap - 旅圖遇快) once every three months to encourage our disciples with spiritual convictions and good news in the church, and to inspire them to keep growing in Christ. Hong Kong Church Sends Out Mission Team, Appoints 4 Evangelists
The Hong Kong Church of Christ recently had an awesome an all-church devotional with the theme “Full of Hope,” sending a mission team to Mainland China, sharing about our 2020 vision and appointing four young evangelists and four young women's ministry leaders. We are so excited about raising up our next generation leadership! Here are some pictures and a video from that night. Please enjoy them and please keep praying for China!"Greater China Running Sunday" Service Draws 900 Disciples
December 1st, 2013 marked the very first “Greater China Running Sunday Service." Thanks to the endeavors of the church’s staff, we had over 900 disciples from the churches of Macau, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Dalian and Singapore, a remarkably glorious congregation. It has been 14 years since the inception of the annual 10K Sunday in the NT region of HKCOC, which is going head-strong and has yet to reach the height of its success.
Hong Kong Teens Host Youth Concert
On August 24, the Hong Kong Church Of Christ youth ministry held their very first “Youth Graduation Concert.” With more than 600 in the audience, including parents, youth workers and friends, the performance involved more than 70 youth Christians as well as non-Christian Kingdom Kids.
The event not only honoured the hard work of the youth ministry but also unified the Christians as well as Kingdom Kids, building a strong sense of belonging in the church. It was also great to see Kingdom Kids who were no longer committed to the church inspired by the performance and coming back to Sunday Services. Parents were especially touched and impressed, and the event was also aimed to strengthen their faith in the youth ministry.
The preparation of the show was not easy. With so many people involved, much communication among workers and performers were needed and it was also difficult to gather everyone during the busy summer. But in the end, all the hard work paid off especially when we saw teens and parents hugging and crying backstage after the show, touched and inspired by the performance. The unity and bonding between the teens themselves as well as with their parents was like in Judges 20:8, “Then all the people arose as one man, saying ‘Not one of us will go to his tent, nor will any of us return to his house,’” (NASB). May God be the glory!

Hong Kong Church Celebrates 25th Anniversary!
"When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laugher, our tongues with songs of joy. Then, it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” -- Psalm 126:1-2
We just had the Hong Kong Church of Christ 25th Anniversary Conference, “In the Beginning.” As the title of the conference aptly states, about 20 disciples from Boston, London, and Hong Kong started the Hong Kong Church of Christ in 1987. Under Scott and Lynne Green’s leadership, the church grew from a handful to close to 2,000 disciples in the first 10 years, as well as planted the churches in Taipei and China.
