The political demonstrations in Kenya have turned into ethnic violence leaving many dead and wounded and disrupting the once peaceful haven in Africa. Here is an update on our church in Eldoret.

In the Eldoret Christian Church:
- 23 families are without food as the husbands – the breadwinners – have not been able to go to work.
- 4 families have had their houses burnt down.
- 1 family had their house and 2 cars burnt down and the family fled to Nairobi. Many families that required armed military escort in order to get to Nairobi safely.
- Other disciples are currently preparing to make the most of the armed escort and seek refuge in Nairobi. Those forced to flee are from a tribe that is a minority in Eldoret and so are being hunted down by members of the indigenous tribe of that region.
- A disciple sleeps in the bush at night because of likelihood of being attacked and killed at night by militia made up of a particular tribe.
It has been a challenge for the church to get concise and comprehensive information due to the situation. Please pray for the conflict to end, for the disciples' safety and for hearts to open to the Prince of Peace.
