Spring 2018 Course Offerings for RMSMT Featured

We at the Rocky Mountain School of Ministry and Theology (RMSMT) are pleased to announce the following four completely online Master's Degree level course offerings for this Spring Semester 2018 which begins January 14, 2018 and ends May 12, 2018:

RMSMT logo DT1. NT659 The Book of Acts (3 credit hours) by Dr. Glenn Giles, Dr. Bill Moulden, Dr. Gregg Marutzky, and John Lusk. This class involves an in-depth study of the contents and history found in the Book of Acts and has a special focus on the biblical theological themes of conversion, the Holy Spirit, church polity, and leadership principles. This course is eligible for transfer into Lincoln Christian University (LCU) MA programs. This course will extend throughout the entire semester.

2. GB615 Biblical Hermeneutics and Exegesis (3 credit hours) by Dr. Glenn Giles. This course consists of a survey of resources, principles and methods of interpreting the Bible with special emphasis on contemporary hermeneutical approaches. This course is slated to be eligible for transfer into Lincoln Christian University MA programs. This course will extend throughout the entire semester.

3. NT651 The Life and Teachings of Jesus the Messiah by Dr. Steve Kinnard. This class is an in-depth study of Jesus' teachings and life as depicted in the four gospels of the Bible. This course is slated to be eligible for transfer into Lincoln Christian University MA programs. This course will extend throughout the entire semester.

4. PC600 Pastoral Care and Counseling by Dr. Timothy Sumerlin. This course attempts to open avenues of insight and service through pastoral care and counseling. The students explore Biblical, historical and contemporary materials to apply to the pastoral function with a healthy interface of theology and psychology. Numerous specific applications will be made in such areas of concern as crisis intervention, marital, premarital, and family counseling, and cross-cultural counseling. The students' own lives and experiences are seen as a base for developing competence in a healing counseling ministry. This course is eligible for transfer into Lincoln Christian University MA programs and will also apply to our upcoming new MA in Christian Counseling program (more information coming on this soon). This course will be a concentrated course of around 8 weeks. The exact dates will be announced later.
