Jeanette Morrice (Toronto) and Ed Keilty (Las Vegas)
Hello Roger,
My name is Jeanette Morrice and I am Kevin Hoecke’s mother in the Central Region in the Toronto Church of Christ. My son Kevin and my beautiful daughter in law Clarissa lead the Family and Youth Ministry here in the Toronto Church in Canada. I met you when you announced DT Heart and Soul at the Thrive Conference. You were here having lunch with my son Kevin and one of our elders, Ed Bahula.
With faith I went on DT Heart and Soul in July 2009 and in Sept., Ed Kielty a brother from The Greater Las Vegas Church of Christ started a conversation with me. I had contacted you to ask you for prayers as Ed was coming to visit me in Jan. 2010. He stayed with Tim and Brenda Frost, the elders here and we had a great visit.
We continued to build our relationship with God’s help and His Kingdom, a wonderful community of disciples around us. I was invited to visit Ed in Las Vegas 3 times, staying with disciples and getting to know Ed and his family. On July 31, we went to ‘The Top of the World Restaurant’ where Ed asked me to be his girlfriend. I said, "Yes!!"
Recently, Ed came to visit me in February and stayed with the elders Tim and Brenda Frost. We all had a wonderful time. On February 28, 2011 we went up to Kleinburg and we were praying. Ed then got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him and be his wife, I said Yes!!
I am so grateful to God and the community of disciples around us for bringing Ed and I together. I have so much to share, how God has orchestrated our relationship throughout this time. I am grateful to you and your team for believing and having faith that disciples like Ed and I could be brought together in this way. For without faith of course we cannot please God and also see disciples find their soul mates. Thank you for having faith, your continued prayers and hard work. To God be the Glory!!
