2,345 at Texas Statewide Service

Belton is a small town in the middle of Texas, but it's Expo Center played host to the Texas Statewide service on May 1st. With 2345 attending, it was an outstanding turnout from across Texas, Oklahoma, and even Northern Mexico.

The Texas family of churches has been growing (15% in the last two years), and has been recently joined by the Oklahoma City church as well.

Jency Taliaferro Prayer Group

Jency Taliaferro of the Mission Point Christian Church in San Antonio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this week. It is stage IV and has spread to the liver.

We are hopeful in the Lord, and solicit your prayers. Please pray for a miracle. We have also set up a Facebook page to keep people informed, and so that they can leave an encouraging note or picture. Go to Facebook and search for the "Jency Taliaferro Prayer Group".

Jency is the wife of Archer Taliaferro, an elder in the Mission Point Church and the mother of Mike, evangelist, San Antonio, Roy, elder, New York City, and John, elder, San Francisco. Archer and Jency spent many years on the mission field in Africa.

Tom Winter Dies in Tragic Accident

On Friday, while at a family reunion in California, Tom Winter went home to be with Jesus. He died in a tragic drowning accident. Terri, his wife, and their five children will remain in San Diego for a burial service before returning to Dallas for a memorial service. They are dearly loved both in San Diego and Dallas and are an exceptional family and incredibly loved.
