The Kingston Church of Christ is pleased to host the Caribbean Missions Conference for 2009 in Kingston, Jamaica, from October 9 to 11.
The conference, On Solid Ground, amalgamates many activities neatly into one package so that all disciples will benefit greatly from fellowship and tailored sermons.
The Singles will be having a fun and sensational pre-conference social event that takes place on Thursday, October 8. They will also be a part of a class that addresses matters relating to living single as a Christian.
The Married Couples will be treated to an inspiring sermon that will help to strengthen their marital bond. Also many good friends have been separated by sea and time. Experience the thrill of one-on-one fellowship and rekindle old friendships.
Singing is an important aspect of worship, and the Caribbean style seems to add flavor to an already delightful worship. But we can always to with some refining. A special workshop for singers and song leaders will enhance the worship across the region.
Campus ministries are showing signs of recovery in some instances, but we must fan the embers that exist and create a flame on our campuses. Campus students will be treated to an inspiring and visionary sermon and will fellowship with visiting students from Athens, Georgia.
A strong youth ministry is vital to the future of the churches in the Caribbean. Parents and youth leaders will gain from insights gleaned from the recent Youth and Family Conference, which was held in Chicago. They will also be directed how to build spiritual families and how to conduct successful teen and youth ministries.
Come and hear inspiring sermons from Caribbean Leaders such as Damian Jean Baptiste, Angel Martinez, and more. Also delivering sermons are legendary preachers such as JP Tines of Columbia, South Carolina.
Participants will be able to experience the beauty of Jamaica if they opt to participate in an excursion to Mystic Mountain, a new theme park in Jamaica, located in a lush and beautiful setting in Ocho Rios.
Additionally, the Kingston Church of Christ invites participants to celebrate its 21st Anniversary at a banquet on the evening of October 10. There is a separate cost for these last two events.
The stage has been set for inspiration and fellowship. Be there and plant your feet ON SOLID GROUND.
Early registration cost is US$30.00 up to June 30, 2009. After that date the cost will be US$40.00. Teens and Campus students will receive a 50% discount. Register online at http://www.kingstonchurchofchrist.org/Conference.html. Posted by Jerry Maday
