International Day of Giving Just 1 Week Away

People will be blessed when their hearts are softened toward the poor
~ Proverbs 19:17

There is still time for your congregation to engage friends and family as together we support the work of HOPE worldwide through the International Day of Giving on Sunday, November 21.

We are encouraged by the many stories about International Day of Giving fundraising efforts across the United States. Disciples are finding creative ways to raise money. For example, one family is conducting a "relaxation/spa day" to raise funds; a few brothers created a "Braveheart" themed video to spread the word about a golf fundraiser; and a volunteer approached his employer to sponsor a "dress down day," where employees could pay to come to work in casual attire with all the proceeds going directly to HOPE worldwide.

If you know of someone in your congregation that has found a creative way to raise money, we would love to hear about their efforts, too.

An assortment of church resources including inspirational videos, templates for announcements, flyers as well as forms to help disciples track donations and collection instructions for church administrators can be found on the International Day of Giving Materials for Churches web page.

In addition, disciples can go to www.hopeww.org/dayofgiving to access the "Friends Asking Friends" tool that makes it easy for them to create their own individual fundraising page.

Thank you,
