Youth and Family Ministry Interns Sought in South Florida
God has really blessed our Youth and Family Ministry in the Broward County Region of the South Florida Church of Christ. We have 19 teen disciples and 35 total teens in our growing, dynamic high school ministry. A solid foundation has been laid and our best days are yet to come!We are looking for a man and a woman (single or married) to serve as full-time interns with our Youth and Family Ministry in the Greater Fort Lauderdale (FL) area.
The goal of this ministry is to help the teenagers build a relationship with God, provide a family-based atmosphere of spiritual growth, and see their generation won to Christ. Applicants for this position should have the following qualifications:
- A faithful walk with God that is growing and worthy of imitation
- A love and passion for working with teenagers
- Humility to work closely with the ministry staff, leadership, and congregation of the Broward County Region
- Work as a team with our high school students, shepherds, and parents
- Knowledge in God’s Word and demonstrate spiritual gifts to effectively use God’s word to convert people to Christ and help them mature in Christ
- Commitment to spiritual growth through seeking personal discipling and ministry training
- Commitment to unity within the International Churches of Christ and the Florida family of churches

Monthly Deaf Ministry Conferences Planned
Joe Cepeda has a vision to encourage everyone in our Deaf Ministry family by having monthly live Deaf Devo Conferences through Google Hangout. During this voiceless video conference we will have begin and end with prayer and preach a few scriptures. Each person will get the opportunity to share one at a time and join together for one Kingdom song. This will be a fun and inspiring conference for our ministry!

Atlanta to Host Third Annual Arts & Entertainment Conference
The Arts and Entertainment Conference celebrates its third year! This year it's called SHREWD, based on Matthew 10:16 and Luke 16:8. The three-day event in Atlanta, Georgia from September 13th-15th is for God-fearing people to become more shrewd in dealing with those in God's kingdom and those outside. Workshops, sermons, parties, fashion shows, networking and performances will amaze!

God Honors Two Close Friends at Sundance Film Festival
Rocky Braat and Steve Hoover met in the fall of 2001 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. The two lived on the same floor in student housing and quickly became friends. In the winter of 2001 Rocky began studying the Bible and before long invited Steve into his studies. On January 22, 2002 Steve and Rocky were both baptized on the same night. The two went on to finish school and began their careers in Pittsburgh. Very recently,a documentary they made together won the two highest awards at the Sundance Fim Festival. And their efforts are bringing help to HIV/Aids stricken orphans.
