Campus students are bombarded by ideologies and lifestyles that can so often seem far more convenient and enjoyable than true Christianity and its implications. In the bubble that is a college town, the messages most
frequently preached are those of the importance of finding oneself and that as long as one is being honest and true to who they are, they are a good person and on the right track.
As a result of students striving to find “who they are”, they frequently become completely self-consumed and dive into the typical college lifestyle, which most often involves some combination of drinking, smoking, cheating, sleeping around, being consumed with academics and obsessed with reputation, just to name a few. So how are we, as disciples of the Lord AND college students in this debaucherous bubble, supposed to work our way through the ideologies and life-style choices and reach the other side having made good decisions along the way and having allowed our experiences to build our faith and sharpen our minds and souls? The answer?
There isn’t just one answer and the answers aren’t always easy to chew on. But God knows that, and in his grace he has given us the Word, fellow Christian peers to go through this phase of life with and examples from those who have already been through this phase of life and come out the other end as faithful disciples. Specifically through Disciples Today, we will work to give you examples of faith and strong Christian lifestyles through the world churches. Our hope is to encourage you and spur you on toward a continually growing love and appreciation for God, as well as a desire to do good deeds for the Lord while helping many others come to do the same.
