Clemson ended the 2011 school year with a great banquet celebrating their spititual and numerical growth.It's hard to believe that another school year is already coming to a close. This has been an incredibly eventful year for the Clemson Foothills Church Campus Ministry and so we took a night to remember back on all the awesome things that have happened and to celebrate this past year.
Since the school year began, last August, our campus ministry has gone from 18 to 32. We have had 3 students move to Clemson from other ministries, one graduate and move away and we have seen 12 men and
women get baptized!
Not only has our ministry grown in number, but we have also seen the brothers and sisters grow spiritually by leaps and bounds. We had our first official dating couples start dating this year. DJ Alrutz & Stacey Leas began dating and Ben Galbreath started dating a sister from Philadelphia, Kristina Wagner. Two weeks ago Jacob Richardson began dating Sara Fick who will be moving here for nursing school this Fall from Athens, Georgia. Stacey & I put together our first campus ministry leadership group this past winter. This has been something we have been extremely excited about.
We are learning so much about building a campus ministry but we feel like we haven't even touched the hem of the garment. We want to build healthy and we want to build strong but it's clear that we can't do it without God. We are doing what we believe we know to do, but at the end of the day we know that we have to rely on God to give us the wisdom to build this thing right. On Friday evening we took time to look back on the past year and remember what great things God has done...and we had a little fun too!
