This year Kiev church is celebrating its 20th anniversary. And we have aldready started! On January, 29th, we had our family time - actually it was a family DAY together!
Whole Kiev church of Christ - all the disciples from the region of Kiev - came together to worship, fellowship and celebrate our full life in Christ. More than 2500 brothers, sisters and kids filled the huge hall of International Exhibition Center in Kiev. It is the third year in a row that Kiev Church is gathering like this in the beginning of the year. The last two years we where fasting and praying in our collective repentance - metanoia, but this time we just celebrated the great love of our God. The spirit of joy, brotherly love and reverence to God was so obvious! Everything that day was wrapped in worship.
We started in the morning with the presentation of our Vision & Goals 20/20. We in Kiev Church decided that having 20 years behind us now - we really want to dream big not for our 2010 for the next 20 years! Shawn Wooten presented the vision of Christ for his church and then the goals of Kiev church according to the ultimate vision of our Lord then we had our communion together.
We had our kids with us for the second biggest part of the meeting. The brothers evangelists were sharing from the Scriptures about loving God, loving one another, loving the lost and forgiveness. Our deacons and shepherds were praying for the church.At the end of the day we all took part in the night of worship and praise.
We are grateful to God that he gave us his church and let us be part of it. We believe that Kiev church has a great future as a Bride of Christ and we are looking forward to out next 20 years.
