The leadership of the Boston Church of Christ decided to start out the New Year with a time of repentance. Sounds exciting, right? But with repentance comes the times of refreshing and leads into our theme for the year, 'For the Joy of Your Salvation'. Ed Anton came to Boston to help us with this mind change of repentance. We want to thank Ed for serving us in such a great way! First he spoke to the staff and explained how to teach, train and inspire the church in this 'Corporate Repentance'. Then he taught the Family Group Leaders what it takes to lead our groups through this process and what does it mean for us personally.

Finally he taught the whole Boston Church in two sessions, one on Saturday night and the other on Sunday morning the meaning of true Biblical repentance or 'Metanoia', which means 'a transformative change of heart; especially a spiritual conversion'. It was so refreshing to hear him speak of how true Biblical repentance is not penance, but a true change of our inner mind, heart and soul. How we can have a 'Metanoia' experience and see our lives changed as we ask God to 'grant us repentance'. He revealed from the scriptures how this is really the work of the Holy Spirit, to convict us of things that are ungodly and give us the power to be transformed. We are looking forward to seeing what God will do in 2011 with a group of 2100 disciples who have had this 'Metanoia' experience.
