I want you all to be encouraged by the story of our new brother in Christ, Klaus Poppek. He is the father of 3 daughters, 2 of which became disciples in the early 90's, and both parents were quite upset at the time. They came to a few events that the church hosted, but were not interested. By the grace of God, in 2003 their mother Ingrid started coming to Bible Talk, and shortly thereafter she started studying and became a Christian.
Ingrid prayed and prayed for her husband to become a Christian as well. He started coming to church on a regular basis with his wife, but he did not believe in God. Different brothers started to talk and even to study the Bible with him, but he still could not believe. So they gave up and he kept coming.
Klaus likes singing, and with a lot of passion he sang along. Time went by, and 2 years ago another brother started to study with him again. Still he did not believe and they stopped again. Klaus is an engineer, and a very intellectual person. He always participated in the Bible Talk with his wife, and slowly but surely his heart grew soft. In spring of this year, our brother Andreas started studying with Klaus. They looked at becoming a Christian from a different angle, and Klaus started to come to faith.
Klaus started to believe in the Word, and began to put things into practise. This summer, two other brothers, Klaus and Dirk got into the studies and, with the help of God, at the age of 69, Klaus repented and last Sunday, on the 17th of October, he became our brother in Christ. It is so special that the family is now united in Christ, except for one of his daughters. No one thought that this would happen, but God made it possible and to him be the glory. Where there is faith there are miracles!
