The past few years have not been easy, but as God leads us to restore Biblical convictions and faith in the church, we see God work not just through the Christmas service but in many other ways as well: 
We praise God who has given us such a great vision and opportunity as to share the Gospel in Japan. In this economically wealthy but spiritually poor nation where less than 1% of the people claim to be Christian, we see so much emptiness and need for the Gospel here.
In preparation for our Christmas service, the disciples of the Tokyo Church of Christ prayed and shared their faith. God brought out a lot of friends, co-workers and neighbors. There was much joy and praise of God, as every heart sang along with the choir. The sermon entitled, “Pursue the Star” was based on Matthew 2, and inspired everyone to seek out the true meaning of Christmas. Many people heard the Gospel for the very first time and several new friends filled out response cards.
- Almost everyone is in a small group.
- Disciples are taking initiative to start up prayer meetings and serve the poor.
- In mid-December we saw Ryo Nizu become our brother-in-Christ. Though we have had several married people and foreigners become disciples, he is the first single Japanese man baptized in quite sometime.
- We just started a Campus Bible talk.
We already have a lot of other friends studying the Bible, but please pray that we can see the Gospel spread all across Japan.
