Ten Year Plan in Progress for Minnesota and Wisconsin Plantings

But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

Mark 1:38-39

There are nearly 9 million people in the great states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and the 5 churches in these states have made a practical plan to work together to plant 4 new churches over the next ten years!

Currently there are churches in Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton, Eau Claire, and Minneapolis / St. Paul. From the largest to the smallest, all of these churches are getting healthy and growing again. These churches began working together in 2006 planting the Eau Claire church, though the primary support came through the Minneapolis church. Over the last year God has greatly forged the unity in and between these churches, and from this unity an ambitious, realistic, and detailed “Decade Plan” has been born. Input from all of the elders, lay leaderships, as well as the Midwest leadership group has been sought and given, and the plan is moving forward.

We believe that this plan does not spring from our hearts, but from God’s heart for every single soul in our states. Our dream is to plant pillar churches in the medium sized cities around the two states, such as Duluth, Racine, Rochester, La Crosse, Janesville, St. Cloud, and Green Bay. While this is exciting, it must only be the beginning. Why? In our states, about half of our population lives in cities outside of the major metropolitan areas. Therefore, after these pillar churches are planted, our dream is to take the gospel to the millions of people throughout the smaller towns. This is far more than we are able to do according to our own strength, but we believe that with God, all things are possible!

Please pray that God opens doors to these cities, and for people to be inspired to move there and preach the gospel. If you are from any of these areas, or may be interested in interviewing for any of these mission teams, please contact any of the leaders listed below. Or, if you would like to continually pray specifically for each step in this process, we will be eager to send you a copy of our decade plan.

Faithfully,

The evangelists of the Minnesota and Wisconsin Churches.
