Introducing Legacies of Faith

Written by  Jeanie Shaw, Boston Tuesday, 27 October 2009 01:41

Titus 2:3-5

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

It’s a great privilege to share “legacies of faith” from some of our “older women”. Several sisters in the Boston Church were asked to share something from the scriptures and their life they would most want to pass on to other sisters. Throughout this series we will briefly introduce the sister and share about their “legacy of faith”. You will be hearing from sisters who have raised their children and are now “empty nesters”. The teachers have been Christians between 18 and 42 years and have between 50 and 81 years of life experience. They have so much to teach us. Their nests may be empty, but their hearts are full. We'd love to hear from you! If you are an "empty nester" and have something you would like to pass on to sisters everywhere, send it to This email address is being protected from spambots.
