2006 was a wonderful year for the Templers, we pray it was great for you, too.  The highlight of the year was Esther's baptism on May 14th.

Editor's Note: This news is part of an email we received from the Templers earlier this year.  Mark Templer is the Director of HOPE worldwide in India.  To read more about the Indian Churches of Christ, visit their website at http://www.incoc.org/.

2006 was a wonderful year for the Templers, we pray it was great for you, too.  The highlight of the year was Esther's baptism on May 14th.  She is doing well as a disciple, very serving and also making lots of friends in the church, both in Delhi and far away via email & messenger.  For us it was very moving to see her being baptized, and her tears moved many others.

2006 was definitely a good year of reconnection for us, as we were able to fellowship again some people we had not seen in years.  Nadine was able to attend both the HOPE global summit in May and the ILC in October.  Friends like Douglas Jacoby came all the way to India to see us, which was very encouraging.  We are very grateful for the many friends who have made the efforts to see us and be in touch, thanks so much!

It was very encouraging that the planting to Orissa [see pink area on map below], sent from Delhi & Kolkata, had 70 at their first "bring your neighbour day" (with six disciples), a student already baptized (Abhijeet), and several more studying the Bible!  In Delhi, we are trying hard for our goal of seeing 75 souls added to Jesus this year, and we are very close as the end of the year approaches ... We know each one is special, as one of those was Esther! :)  Each of the 75 souls has a very special story of courage, conviction, and miracles that God has done.  As do each of us.
