Last fall the Dallas Fort Worth Church hosted the first International Singles Conference that revived life into the singles ministries of the International Churches of Christ. Since then God has breathed new life into the DFW singles ministry.Last month the DFW singles came together to dream for the New Year and how God could work through them. They not only wanted to be more involved in each other’s lives, but they wanted to take the gospel to new areas in Dallas.
Since then, three new singles’ Bible Talks have formed and they have a vision for thirty singles baptized this year. On January 31st, the DFW singles hosted a “Seeking God Event” and 27 friends came wanting to know more about Jesus and what it means to have a relationship with him.
Steve Frederickson and Cynthia Chavez shared about God’s grace in their lives and how he gives us opportunities to respond to it. The campus performed a skit titled “Everything”, about a girl who turns from her first love (Jesus), and Derik Vett gave a powerful message on “Seeking God”.
It was so encouraging seeing over one hundred people engage in the fellowship and set up studies to help continue their walk to know God. The fruit of this faith was shown in two singles being baptized the following week.
