On Sunday, September 29, the Storrs, Connecticut, church traveled to Worcester, Massachusetts, for a combined worship service. The highlight of the time was the appointment of Felipe and Brandyn Bascones as evangelist and women’s ministry leader for the U-Conn ministry.
In a moving time of sharing, Tom and Sydney Caswell from the Worcester church, gave Felipe and Brandyn newly inscripted Bibles with the charge to fulfill the purpose God has given them. See the video below:
Being officially appointed doesn’t make this special twosome any more spiritual or saved. It does recognize their work over the years in helping the saved and seeking the lost. Their challenge is to continue to grow as expert builders for the sake of eternity.
In whatever role we play, it is imperative for each of us to rise up and be who Christ has called us to be in our city. Let’s rejoice with Felipe and Brandyn in their appointment and strive to imitate their faith, humility and zeal for the glory of God.
