International Missions Society (IMS) Plans a Month of Specific Regional Prayer.
"And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ." Colossians 4:3
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. 1 Timothy 2:8
Last year, the Boston Church of Christ organized a month of prayer for missions, during which we encouraged disciples to pray for a different church each day that is either funded by or affiliated with the IMS. This year, we will be praying for countries throughout Europe and states throughout New England that either have IMS-affiliated churches, or are targets for future plantings.
This year's month of prayer will begin on Friday, April 1, and will continue throughout the month of April. Each day we will be posting our daily prayer focus on the IMS website, and on our Facebook and Twitter feeds. Please join us in prayer that God will open doors for effective work throughout New England and Europe.
