The Groton-New London International Church of Christ is praying as we seek a ministry couple to serve as our new lead evangelist and women's ministry leader to work alongside our associate minister and our leadership team to shepherd and mature our congregation as we share Christ's gospel in southeastern Connecticut.
About the positions
We are looking for an experienced ministry couple who has a strong relationship with God and their own family. They should have earned a reputation for love, humility and a heart to serve and raise others up in Christ. They should be well-trained in God's word, and should have the dynamic leadership qualities that will inspire and equip a diverse church. 
Seasoned by experience and prepared with a minimum of a bachelor's degree, they should be effective in discipling others, preaching and teaching, planning worship services, training leaders of small groups, and growing a happy and healthy church family. They should be committed to building close relationships with other ministers and ministries in Connecticut, New England and the International Churches of Christ. Our hope is to find leaders who love this area as much as we do, and who plan to stay for an extended period.
About our congregation
The Groton-New London church is a happy and diverse group of 118 disciples who are striving to serve God and reach out to five different geographic communities here in New London County. The church is mainly comprised of married couples with children, but also has groups of Singles, Campus, and Teens. Our ministry initially sprang from disciples converted from the local submarine base, and many of our present members were brought to Christ through this Navy outreach. Our leadership team maintains an ongoing commitment to the growth and health of our ministry to naval personnel and their families.
About southeastern Connecticut
Most of our ministry is located in beautiful New London County, which is situated on the southeastern coast of Long Island Sound, about halfway between Boston and New York City. In addition to our breathtaking coastline, we are blessed with wonderful state parks, four college campuses, good schools, and restaurants where you can enjoy the relaxed coastal lifestyle while you savor some of the best lobsters you've ever tasted! New London County has a population of around 265,000 and includes 29 towns and small cities, the largest of which are Groton, New London, and Norwich.
