We are excited to share with our brothers and sisters around the world the Thankfulness we share in Kiev for Christ’s Church that is here!
On May 28-30 we celebrated the 17th Birthday of the Kiev Church! Planted in 1992 from the Moscow Church one year after Moscow was planted, by Andy and Tammy Fleming with a team of 15 Brothers and Sisters! After Sharing faith for a week God brought 514 people to the first Sunday Service! The first week of the church saw 28 new Ukrainian brothers and sisters baptized into Christ! The first month 77! God has continued to bless from such a great start as now the church has planted 8 other churches and is slowly starting to grow as we climb back over 2000 brothers and sisters.

The celebration was kicked off Friday night with a night of worship, prayer, and sharing. It was great to have Andy and Tammy Fleming at the event, as our parents in the faith! Friday evening was a historic evening for the church as our first Deacons were appointed in service to building God’s Kingdom in the Ukraine. Sergey Skripay – was appointed as Deacon to Finances and Administration. Volodia Yermakov – was appointed as Deacon to Benevolence and HOPE programs. Ivan Lashinko – was appointed as Deacon to Worship. Maria Lashinko – was appointed as Deaconess to Media and Communication.
The Celebration continued on Saturday as the entire church met at a football stadium for 6 hours of picnic and fellowship! God blessed with great weather and lots of fun and fellowship!
Sunday the Church witnessed as 6 new couples were appointed as Evangelists and Women Group Leaders. May God bless these new couples as they lay their lives down – to serve and preach the Gospel to the edges of our nation!
A thank you to all of the brotherhood – who sacrificed and prayed in 1991 – to send out the Moscow Church. To the Moscow Church for taking the step of faith – to plant 3 new churches its first year! To the Flemings for all the years they spent in the Former Soviet Union. To the Northern Federation group of churches who have supported financially and spiritually for so many years. To Marty and Chris Fuqua for their leadership in helping us to build up this part of the world. To the Chicago and Midwest Churches for all the sacrifice and support these last few years as we have joined in a close partnership in the Gospel.
There is no way to express the thankfulness each disciple feels towards Jesus for his love, example, and desire to love each one of us!
May we be his faithful disciples to the end of the age!
